Everyone has dreams and aspirations to do something bigger than what they are currently doing. We all think about something that we want to do and we tell ourselves that we will start tomorrow or we will do it soon and never get around to doing it. I have thought about starting this blog for some time and with some inspiration and interest from my friends and people that are close to me I have decided to finally take that leap and begin this journey.

This blog will consist of many things but will mostly be based around long term wealth building and investing. A little bit about myself, my name is Jared I am twenty years old and live in Southern California. I have pretty good knowledge about investing both in the short term as well as the long term. I have a decently sized investment portfolio currently but will be starting this journey almost like I don’t have that money, let me get more into that later. I love writing and also teaching as well as sharing my passion for investing so this blog will allow me to do that. Everything talked about in this blog should not be taken as advice or professional knowledge, simply as entertainment and to be able to follow what I believe is the best way to invest and build wealth so this is all my opinion.

Now that is all out of the way let me inform you all about what this journey is about. I currently have a decent job as a sales team manager at a solar company where I get paid a salary plus commissions, so nothing too crazy yet. I have some bills but not a lot, so im basically in between your average twenty year old and someone who is a bit older. The main goal of this journey will to be to buy a house by the time I turn 23 years old in April 2023. The blog will not end there because after we achieve that goal I will want to pursue more investment properties and further grow my wealth. The basis of this journey is to show you how I will be saving my money each month and how I will be investing it in both the short and the long term. I will share with you all my trades that I make, short term trades will be shared with after I have completed the trade(day trades) and I will share with you all my long term buys in either stock or stock options either at the end of the day when I make the trade or in a weekly update about my holdings. This isn’t a blog where I am telling you the best stock to trade in real time but more of a general idea of what i’m doing with my money so if you want you can follow along in some way or see what i’m doing and ask me questions about it. I will use my downfalls and success as teaching moments and maybe we can all learn something new and useful together as I try to achieve this hefty goal.

I hope that you all enjoy reading this, some weeks there will be multiple post and some weeks there will be only one, it just depends on different things that happen and whether or not I have the time to work on a post or not. I will try to keep you all in the loop with where I am at each week with a weekly update. Disregarding everything I currently have investing we are starting with close to nothing. I have opened at TD Ameritrade account where all my new investments will take place. I will also share with you some of my weekly and monthly expenses and also what im being paid and where the money in going and how much we are investing. We might also use some other platforms to invest on such as STASH so we can buy partial shares. Right now we are starting with a total of $250 in the checking account which will cover some food and gas and have a little left over once our next paycheck hits on 12/18/2020, that’s when the real fun will begin. Lets get after it and find some solid ways we can work hard while trying to get to our house!
